This collection consists of personal papers and collected military research papers of Powell A. Casey of Louisiana. Included are correspondence, newspaper clippings, handwritten spiral-bound research notes, maps, photographs, information about the Washington Artillery Veterans Association, printed items about the Civil War, large negative photocopies of muster rolls and payrolls concerning the Battle of New Orleans from the National Archives, research notes and related material used in Powell Casey's writings, including the book, Try us, the story of the Washington Artillery in World War II.
